The Arthur C. Luf Children's Burn Camp
The South Old Bridge Fire Company is a proud supporter of the Arthur C. Luf Children's Burn Camp located in Union, Connecticut. The camp serves children ages 8 to 18 from Maryland to New England, who have survived life altering burn injuries.
The camp encourages camaraderie along with physical and social activities to promote their self worth. Activities are designed to help campers overcome anxieties, develop/enhance their physical skills, and and allow them to move beyond their scarring and burn injuries.
The camp is staffed by firefighters, medical personnel, and adult burn survivors, all of whom donate their time free of charge. The members of the staff represent every state in New England, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
